Dana Labe is a qualified social worker who holds a BA (hons) in Social Work, a BA (hons) in Social Theory, cum laude and an MA (Social Work) cum Laude. She has been in private practice for eighteen years. Prior to entering private practice Dana worked as Director of FAMSA Grahamstown, and before that she held positions at Johannesburg Child Welfare and NICRO.
Dana specialises in Couple therapy. She is interested in all aspects of couple work, and works comfortably with all couples who face distress, loss or difficulties in their relationships. She also offers individual therapy to adults and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression and adjustment issues. She has a special interest in Breast Cancer support. She has extensive experience working in student counselling, as well as a growing interest in the difficulties faced by adults and young adults with high functioning autism (Asperger’s Syndrome)
Dana has presented at several conferences and has published in the fields of Domestic Violence, Rape, HIV and Relationship issues. She is an experienced lecturer, workshop presenter and group facilitator. She lectured Couple Therapy to MA Clinical and Counselling Psychology students at Rhodes University between 1995 and 2011. She now runs Couple Therapy Discussion Groups, and offers supervision and consultation and training to professionals who wish to improve their skills in working with couples.
She is registered with SACSSP and SAASWIPP.

Couple Therapy Discussion Group
Dana Labe of the Norwood Therapy Centre is opening a Couple Therapy Discussion group for interested therapists who work with couples or who would like to work with couples.
Dana holds a Masters in Social Work. She has worked for more than 20 years in the field of relationship therapy, both in the NGO field and in Private practice. She draws on a several models
of couple therapy which take into account psychodynamic theory, family systems theory and attachment theory. She taught couple therapy to Clinical and Counselling Psychology trainees in the Rhodes Psychology Department between 1995 and 2010. She has extensive experience in training, supervision and consultation.
If you join this group you can expect to:
