Farryn Schneiderman pursued her career as an Educational Psychologist following her training as a psychometrist in which she thoroughly enjoyed working with children and university students from a developmental and educational perspective. Her qualifications include a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand, a BA Honours equivalent degree in Practical Psychometry, a BA Honours in Psychology, and a BCom in Industrial Psychology all of which were from the University of Johannesburg.
Farryn specialises in child and adolescent psychotherapy. The therapy assists the young individuals in dealing with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties.
Farryn has a particular interest in working with younger children, children with developmental delays and learning difficulties, as well as children with ADD/ADHD. This stems from her experience in working with children that have been diagnosed with ADHD. Further experience comprises her work with disadvantaged children within a community setting. Farryn recognizes the importance and value in working from a holistic perspective in further understanding the child (and his family) and facilitating them in reaching their full potential.
