Kgabe Molepo

Kgabe Molepo is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of Health Care Funders (BHF). He completed his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Kgabe offers brief and long term psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults and adolescents, where he works collaboratively towards gaining a better understanding of his client’s difficulties and concerns. The aim of this form of therapy is to assist clients to identify patterns in their personality and how they interact with their environment and how this may be contributing to their current state of being. The work is fundamentally geared towards reaching a deeper level of self-understanding and self-acceptance. Underpinning the services Kgabe provides is a sensitivity to your particular needs and he strives to uphold a professional, non-judgmental, safe environment where you can feel heard and understood. In line with this goal, he offers sessions in English, SePedi, SeSotho, SeTswana and isiZulu.

Kgabe has experience working with adolescents and adults in public health and community settings such as the Emthonjeni Centre at the University of the Witwatersrand, Helen Joseph Hospital, the Child, Adolescent and Family Unit (CAFU) in Charlotte Maxeke Hospital, and Tambo Memorial Hospital. Working within these settings has provided him with firm grounding and a thoughtful approach to culturally and contextually appropriate psychotherapeutic practices, assessment and diagnosis, multidisciplinary and peer consultation and the ethics of good practice for client and patient care.
