Tanya Rubin is a qualified Social Worker having completed her BA Social Work Degree at the University of Witwatersrand in 1996. She also completed her BA Honors in Psychology through UNISA. Later on in her career she went on to study Logotherapy through Unisa’s Centre for Applied Psychology. Tanya’s passion lies in fertility counselling. She has been involved in the field of Infertility since 2005. After working at one of South Africa’s leading fertility clinics for 10 years, she decided to enter into her own private practice. She has a special interest in the field of gamete donation. Her counselling experience aims to assisting individuals and couples to cope with and navigate the emotional and spiritual demands of the journey of infertility.
She has previously worked in the field of addiction for over 10 years. Tanya is a qualified trainer and facilitator and conducts many workshops and training sessions in her particular field. Her training experience started in the corporate world where her main focus was on developing Leadership, Assertiveness and Communication Skills in Management Roles.
Tanya currently works in private practice. She also works for the Malka Ella Fertility Fund as well as for Nurture Egg Donation Agency as Donor Coordinator.
She is fully registered with the SACSSP, SAASWIPP and the Board of Health Care Funders and as such a portion of therapy fees can be reimbursed from medical aid.
